The app needs a proper name and a website. And I want it in Czech, German, English, French, Chinese — and Hindi for India.

The name PLC Sidecar and six languages
Candidates included Rungsmith, TIA Sidecar, PLC Commander and PLC Sidecar.
- PLC Commander was dropped — too close to an existing tool with a similar name.
- TIA in the name is a risk because of the Siemens trademark.
- "Sidecar" alone is taken; "PLC Sidecar" is free in our field.
PLC Sidecar won: the human programmer is the main machine, the app rides alongside. Hence the logo — a white rung (the human) and a green side branch (the sidecar).
The app interface is now available in six languages (CS, DE, EN, FR, ZH, HI), and the short summary of every version is generated in the same languages. The website is in six languages too; the German text is still waiting for a native-speaker review.
