First edits on a real machine

I need to change blocks on a machine running at a customer site: a camera portal and two axes. I want to do it with AI, but without any risk to production.

The safety rules that came out of it:

  • Writing to a production project needs explicit confirmation. Otherwise changes are tried on a test copy.
  • Downloading to the PLC is always done by a person in TIA, never by the app.
  • When the project is online with the PLC, TIA refuses import and export. The app now checks this up front with one clear message instead of a batch failing on every block.
